It is with great sadness that Taufua Beach Fales was completely demolished by the tsunami that hit Samoa on 30th September 2009. We have left the pictures on this website as a reminder of the wonderful job done by the Taufua family in establishing and running what was one of the best beach fale businesses in all Samoa.

Detailed Info

Taufua is a family run business, set in the village of Lalomanu. Accommodation is in either basic open sided fales with a mattress on the floor and coconut blinds for privacy which are directly on the beach, or in semi enclosed fales which have wooden sides, a trellis and curtain front with balcony and a mattresses either laid on the floor or raised on a bed. All fales share a communal bathroom across the village road.

There are also three ensuite fales which are completely enclosed with a lockable door, a tiny ensuite cold water bathroom with flush toilet and a veranda, located behind the open fales.

Taufua operates an excellent restaurant with spacious decking overlooking the beach. The efficient hosts can organize kayaking and snorkelling trips to the nearby offshore islands, clifftop walks, sightseeing tours around the island and shopping trips to Apia Town.
